Weston head coach Scott Bartlett heaped praise on forward Dayle Grubb after his four goals sealed an impressive 5-0 win over bottom side Bishop’s Stortford, insisting the playmaker even cracked half a smile after the match.
The Seagulls started Saturday’s match strongly and took the lead after just eight minutes.
A short corner from Grubb found Brad Ash who played the ball back to the forward who slotted home with ease.
Grubb then added a second just five minutes later. Danny Greenslade broke free on the left and found Grubb in space and he made no mistake with another good finish.
