Police blaming teenagers for spate of criminal damage at community facilities (From Basingstoke Gazette) – UK News


POLICE have reported a spate of criminal damage and anti-social behaviour incidents involving community facilities in Overton.

Officers say yobs have targeted Town Meadow Golf Club, Lordsfield Swimming Pool and the Recreation Ground on Bridge Street in recent days.

Police believe a group of youths, aged between 14 and 16 years, are responsible.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said: “It’s important to report any incident of this nature especially if you are witnessing it to police via 101 or 999 in an emergency.”
